ARMCHAIR no. 01

Armchair type 366 after complete renovation

Armchair type 366, designed in the 1960s by Józef Chierowski, has become an icon of Polish design thanks to its minimalist pattern and light wooden structure highlighted by slim, tapered legs. It is an example of a simple and functional design, and its appealing design has allowed it to withstand the test of time and return today to contemporary apartments.

It was produced at Dolnośląskie Fabryki Mebli in Świebodzice, Głuchołaskie Fabryki Mebli in Głuchołazy, and after 1970 – at Świdnicki Ośrodek Przemysłu Meblarskiego in Świdnica. Type 366 was succeeded by armchair type 300-190, designed by Henryk Lis and manufactured since 1967.

The armchair has been renovated with attention to every detail. During the renovation, we used original processing methods, and the upholstery and carpentry work was carried out by hand with respect for the design, maintaining authenticity and the uniqueness of this piece of furniture.

  • Wooden elements were dismantled, sanded and covered with new layers of varnish that revived and impregnated the wood.
  • The armchair received new upholstery belts to hold the seat made of high-quality elastic foam to ensure comfort.
  • The selected fabric ensures durability and comfort of use, and its appearance and character give the armchair a contemporary look.
